Eduardo Nespoli is a Brazilian artist working in the fields of electroacoustic music, experimental music, sound art, and video. He is a professor in the Arts and Communication Department at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), SP/Brazil, where he conducts research on computer music and new interfaces for musical expression. Eduardo’s artistic production includes electroacoustic and audiovisual compositions, handmade instruments and interfaces, as well as installations. In his work, the creation of devices is treated as a component of the artistic process, an approach grounded in the media archaeology perspective. He has been dedicating his academic writing to studying the philosophy of Vilém Flusser, incorporating concepts such as technical imagination and pre-apparatus into artistic practice. Eduardo’s engagement with the theory of technical imagination positions the artistic process as a primordial way of relating to technology, with the aim of evoking the imaginative potentialities of the audible and visible. Eduardo has been presenting his work at art festivals in Brazil and abroad, highlighting events such as International Computer Music Conference, Paysages|Composés 2025, Brazilian Symposium of Computer Music, New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival, Earth Day Art Model Telematic Festival, AI_MAAKO – Festival Internacional de Música Electroacústica y Experimental, FILE-International Electronic Language Festival, Sonorities Festival of Contemporary Music, among others.
